Down Syndrome Ireland Clare welcomed cyclists for the 26th Tour de Munster on Friday the 7th August 2026. This charity event saw more than 100 cyclists pass on their way through a gruelling 600 km route across Munster.
This event to date raised over 5.5 million euro towards Munster branches of Down Syndrome Ireland as well as other charities. It is vital to the continued existence of our branch as it provides funds towards therapies and activities for our members throughout the year. It is a day of celebration for our members and an opportunity to meet the cyclists, in many cases returning year after year.
We are grateful to the organisers, especially Paul Sheridan, cyclists, as well as Clare communities in Ennis, Kilkee and Kilrush for their continuous support of this event.
